Dr. Brandi L. Hicks, DNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in population health, community-based primary care, and
healthcare leadership. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Mary and has provided comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients across the
lifespan, with a particular focus on underserved and medically complex populations.
Dr. Hicks brings leadership experience from the United States Army Nurse Corps, where she held key leadership roles in population health management. Notably, she
served as the Population Health/HEDIS Nurse for multiple military treatment facilities serving more than 25,000 beneficiaries across Alaska and contributed to system-level practice changes that led to regional recognition for quality outcomes and preventive care performance. Additionally, she served as the Brigade Nurse for the 1st Brigade,
25th Infantry Division, functioning as the executive nursing leader responsible for the integration and oversight of brigade-level medical operations. In close collaboration with
the Brigade Surgeon cell, she synchronized clinical care delivery, operational medical planning, and force health protection for a formation of more than 3,000 Soldiers, while
directing the training, readiness, and professional development of non-provider medical personnel.
In civilian practice, Dr. Hicks has served in a federally qualified health center, providing interdisciplinary, team-based care to diverse and underserved communities, with a focus on mitigating social determinants of health and structural barriers to care. Her clinical experience also includes rural primary care and the delivery of home-based services to Medicare beneficiaries.
